Where are screenshots stored?

Screenshots stay locally and, with Pro sync, in your private CloudKit under your Apple ID. CloudShot has no separate account or screenshot-storage server.

Does it work without iCloud?

Local capture, import, history, search, and editing still work. Cross-device sync, iCloud participant links, and safe Photos cleanup require iCloud and Pro.

What does the Apple Watch app do?

It provides a read-only grid and detail view for your latest screenshots, with background refresh and a local thumbnail cache. Capture and editing happen on Mac, iPhone, or iPad.

Is the intelligence private?

Yes. Vision and Foundation Models run on device. OCR, tags, similarity feature prints, and generated names are local indexes and are not included in CloudKit records.
